PLEASE NOTICE THAT ALL OF OUR LITTLE ONES HAVE
NOT BEEN TESTED WITH CATS OR SMALL CHILDREN. SO UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO
NOT KNOW HOW THEY REACT WITH THEM.
HOWEVER, SOMETIMES THEY COME TO US WITH THESE
LITTLE QUIRKS AND WE WILL BE SURE TO INFORM YOU OF ANYTHING THAT WE KNOW OF
THEIR ATTITUDE AND PERSONALITY QUIRKS.
Note: Most
dogs especially the older ones (12 months and older) are house trained and
can either use a doggie door or have a door left open for them; however most
of the time there WILL be a few accidents in the beginning as all of the
dogs are nervous and uncomfortable. But with the proper discipline
this behavior should stop within a few weeks.)

It is common for most dogs to go
through separation anxiety and fear when they go into a new home from
adoption, it is usually calmed when the dog realizes after a few weeks that
he or she is safe and will not be going anywhere because their new families
love them. If you are applying to adopt you must automatically know
that this IS a more than a possibility for your new adoptee to react this
way.
AND IN RARE SITUATIONS DOGS MAY GO
THROUGH EXTREME SEPARATION ANXIETY WHERE IT CAUSES A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON
THEIR HEALTH.
PLEASE GO TO THE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PAGE TO SEE A SECTION ON SEPARATION ANXIETY.

AS OF AUGUST
17, 2008
WE DO HAVE
NEW DOGS FROM FRESNO, THEIR VETTINGS WILL BE DONE THIS WEEK AND SLOWLY
ONCE MORE EVALUATIONS AND INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE WE WILL PUT THE
BIOS AND PICS UP. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ANYONE, PLEASE SUBMIT
AN APPLICATION.
Most of these little ones came from a breeder turn in from the Fresno
area. They are all fairly young dogs ranging around 2 years old
and younger, and are all absolutely gorgeous dogs, and are extremely
sociable. Most can go to an open home. Others have
certain needs. Please read individual bios for more accurate
information.
Also please know that even though we spend a lot of time with these
dogs, caring, vetting and evaluating them and their personalities, each
dog is an individual and although may act one way with us, may have a
different attitude with other people. This is what makes "Meet and
Greets" so important, please make sure that every person (and dog) who
will be living in the home, with the dog, is present at any "Meet and
Greet" that is scheduled.
Please be advised most pictures are just initial and
more will come. We have been told about some of the quality of
our pictures. The fact of the matter is our digital camera,
doesn't really work, and when it does, it has a tendency to put lines
through the pictures or make the pictures look dark.
It takes time to take pictures with the dogs
and more often than not, since our camera has a mind of it's own, it
makes taking pictures even harder. At this time, we cannot
purchase another camera, because all of our limited funds go towards
the dogs upkeep, vetting, feeding etc. So until we can get a new
one, the pictures will have to do. We apologize if the quality
is not that great, we try to give you a bio on the dogs that gives you
an idea of what they look like color, size and attitude wise.

Precious

|
|
| |
Age: 3 years old
Sex: Female
Color: Chocolate/Tan Dapple Long Hair Size:
Mini Approx 9 lbs. |
|
| |
Precious is
a little girl from Fresno. She is currently weighing in at
approximately 9 pounds. She is a very dainty girl. She is
about 3 years old. She is a beautiful little chocolate and tan
dapple long haired dachshund. She is a very loving girl who
absolutely loves attention. She can go to a home with another
dachshund or alone. Since she is a younger dog though, she has a
lot of energy and would need to be exercised a lot or have a little
playmate to wrestle around with. We believe she would fine with
children over the age of 8.
Precious along
with some of the other dogs are currently being vetted. However,
we are taking applications on her.
If you are
interested in Precious, please fill out an
application

Suzy Q
 |
|
| |
Age: 18 months old
Sex: Female
Color: Chocolate Long Hair Size:
Mini Approx 5 lbs. |
|
| |
Suzy Q is another
Fresno dog. All of the dogs are cutie pies, but Suzy Q is
adorable. She is a 18 month old chocolate long hair who weighs 5
pounds soaking wet. She is a tiny little girl. She is a
sweetheart and a happy little girl who loves to be the clown of the
bunch. She would do fine alone or with another dachshund pal.
Again, since she is younger, she will have a lot of energy and will
need either a lot of exercise or a dachshund pal to wrestle with.
Of course, it will be hard to find another dog her size but preferably
this little brother or sister, will be about her size, if not a little
bigger. We are currently unsure how she would do with children,
which is why if you are an applicant with children, it is important to
have them present at any "Meet and Greet" that happens regarding any
of the dogs.
Adoption fee for Suzy Q is $225.00
If you are
interested in Suzy Q, please fill out an

Schultz
 |
|
| |
Age: 3 years old
Sex: Male
Color: Black and Tan Long Hair Size:
Mini Approx 10 pounds |
|
| |
Schultz is a 3
year old black and tan long haired male from Fresno with a big
attitude. Although he is a very loving little guy, he definitely
needs to be with either a female dachshund or alone. He doesn't
seem to like too many male dachshund, even his companions that he came
with from Fresno.
We are
currently unsure how he would do with children, which is why if you
are an applicant with children, it is important to have them present
at any "Meet and Greet" that happens regarding any of the dogs.
Schultz still needs to be neutered, but that will happen very soon,
possibly this week. We are still taking applications.
Adoption fees
for Schultz is $175.00.

interested in Schultz, please fill out an

Gunner
 |
|
| |
AGE: 3 years old
SEX: Male
COAT/COLOR: Black and Tan Smooth
SIZE: Tweenie
|
|
| |
Gunner is a cutie.
He is a 3 year old black and tan smooth coated guy from Fresno.
As with all of the dachshunds that have come from Fresno, he is a bit
timid and fearful at first. But once he gets used to your
presence and his surroundings, he becomes a happy little guy. He
would do well in a home with another dachshund or alone. He
doesn't seem to need a preference at this point, he plays with both
males and females. However, this little guy is terrified of
small children and cannot go into a home with any small children.
Teenagers 13 and up may do okay, however...since we are unsure of any
age bracket we would suggest if you are interested in Gunner, and have
older children 13 and above, that they are present at any "Meet and
Greet".
Gunner still needs
to be neutered, but that will happen very soon, possibly this week.
We are still taking applications.
Adoption fees for Gunner is $175.00

Razz
 |
|
| |
AGE: 5 year old
SEX: Male
COAT/COLOR: Chocolate Piebald Smooth
SIZE: Tweenie
|
|
| |
Razz is another
Fresno male. He is a beautiful chocolate piebald who seems to be
very bonded with Penny. Razz, like all of the Fresno dogs, are
very shy and timid at first but once he is used to your presence and
his surroundings, he warms up and becomes the loveable little guy that
we know him to be.
At this point,
we are unsure if we will separate Razz and Penny, since they seem to
be so closely bonded. They literally do everything together, and
Penny depends a lot on Razz and follows him around. We will be
spending a bit more time evaluating them both and seeing what the best
situation is for them.
More than
likely since they are so closely bonded we will not separate them.
But we have had past situations similar to this, where a closely
bonded pair is okay to be separated. Although we tend not to
like to do it. If we do separate them, both Razz and Penny will
need a partner.
We are
currently unsure how he would do with children, which is why if you
are an applicant with children, it is important to have them present
at any "Meet and Greet" that happens regarding any of the dogs.
Razz still
needs to be neutered, but that will happen very soon, possibly this
week. We are still taking applications.
Adoption fees
for Razz is $175.00 or $300.00 for both Razz and Penny together.

Penny

Age: 4 years old
Sex: Female
Color: Chocolate Long Hair Size:
Mini
|
|

Penny is a
beautiful chocolate long haired female from Fresno. She is
extremely bonded with Razz, shown above. They do everything
together. She tends to follow Razz around. However, where
Razz tends to warm up and become very loving after he knows the
person's presence and his surroundings, it takes little Penny a bit
longer to warm up and become the loving little girl she is.
At this point,
we are unsure if we will separate Razz and Penny, since they seem to
be so closely bonded. They literally do everything together, and
Penny depends a lot on Razz and follows him around. We will be

Penny still
needs to be spayed but it will be done very soon, possibly this week.

Dusty
 |
|
| |
AGE: 4 years old
SEX: Male
COAT/COLOR: English Cream Longhair
SIZE: Tweenie
|
|
| |
This little
English Cream longhaired male (also from Fresno) is an absolute love
bug. He is adorable and a loving little guy. He can go to
a pretty open home and would do well with another dachshund, or by
himself, with a lot of attention lavished on him.
He is such a
little gentleman, he waits to be invited onto your lap and then loves
to cuddle and love you when he is on there. He is not pushy or
overbearing (which let's face it, dachshunds can be at times).
He deserves to be in a home, where he will be loved and treasured as
the good guy that he is.
We are currently
unsure how he would do with children, (although we suspect he would do
fine with small children) However, if you are an applicant with
children, it is important to have them present at any "Meet and Greet"
that happens regarding any of the dogs.
Adoption fees
for Dusty is $275.00.

SEX: Female
COAT/COLOR: Red Smooth
SIZE: Mini
|

Priscilla is a 2
and a half year old red smooth girl from Fresno. She is a mini.
She loves everyone and everything. She would do well in a pretty
open home, since, she seems to get along with all dogs at all times
and loves anyone that has a lap to sit on. She loves to cuddle
and would love to be a lap dog. As with all dogs that come from
this rescue, we are unsure about cats.
We are
currently unsure how she would do with children, (although we suspect
she would do fine with small children) However, if you are an
applicant with children, it is important to have them present at any
"Meet and Greet" that happens regarding any of the dogs.

COAT/COLOR: Black and Tan dapple
longhaired
SIZE: Tweenie
|
|
| |
Chipper is a 2 to
3 year old black and tan dapple long haired boy. This little guy
is also from Fresno. He loves to play and be a silly goose.
He would do better in a home with another dachshund to play with,
since he loves playing not only with other dogs but with toys, he may
do well in a home with someone who is home a lot and will play with
him and his toys.
We are currently
unsure how he would do with children, (although we suspect he would do
fine with small children) However, if you are an applicant with
children, it is important to have them present at any "Meet and Greet"
that happens regarding any of the dogs.
Adoption fees
for Chipper from Fresno is $200.00.
